Attention turns to Yorkshire as reserve game called off

The Clarets will be in action at Irongate next Monday
The frozen surface at Carlisle has stopped this fixture for a second time and as yet there’s no new date and that means we are now focussing on the big game being played in West Yorkshire tonight when the recently formed West Yorkshire Clarets take on their Preston North End counterparts in a six-a-side competition.

A number of regular visitors to this site, with some message board regulars, will be taking part as we look to get one over on our Lancashire rivals – and there’ll be news later of this game.

Meanwhile, the reserves will now have to wait until next Monday when we take on leaders Preston at Irongate, home of Bamber Bridge. It will be the last time we play North End at this level for some time, they have decided to economise and have pulled their reserve side out of the Pontin’s League from next season.

So West Yorkshire Clarets v West Yorkshire Lilywhites tonight and then the reserve clash next week – two wins would be good.
