As you were for Clarets

Alan Mahon - late signing on the last loan deadline day in March
It was always pretty obvious, given the size of our squad, that there would be no one going through the door marked exit, but the club certainly raised hopes this morning by suggesting there could be an incoming signing.

That left fans on tenterhooks for seven hours or so wondering who could be joining the squad ahead of a schedule that will see us play ten games in six weeks starting on Saturday with the home game against Birmingham and ending with our FA Cup 3rd tie on the first Saturday in January.

In March, with the last loan transfer deadline, we sneaked in at the last minute with the signing of Alan Mahon, but this time there was no one with the squad remaining the same, certainly now until the transfer window opens in the new year.

With John McGreal still injured, and Frank Sinclair suspended that leaves us with just eighteen players ahead of Saturday's game and with other suspensions looming, Jon Harley, James O'Connor and Sinclair are just one yellow card away from a ban, it could leave us very stretched during the busiest time of the season.

Elsewhere in the division there have been signings made by seven clubs and below is the full list of incoming transfers for Championship clubs:
