Arthur sacked

Arthur is out of the game at this time with a cruciate ligament injury and hasn’t played for some time. He wasn’t in the first team having struggled to find any sort of form at the start of the season.

There were problems even before this season started and he was disciplined for failing to report from pre-season training and it has been downhill ever since for the player who three years ago made a massive impact on arriving at Turf Moor.

His future in English football is now in serious doubt after this latest problem, and this is not just for one incident.

QPR have now formally given Arthur the required notice to terminate his contract but the player has lodged an appeal with the Football League Board and that appeal will be heard by the Football Disciplinary Commission.

The 26 year-old defender has played in just sixteen games for QPR since making a permanent move from Burnley in February of last year. From King to this in three years.
