Arthur is going Gnowhere

Arthur spent just over a month on loan with the West London 2nd Division outfit earlier in the season and according to Stan learned to find his way round the capital when he was there.

Rangers boss Ian Holloway made no secret of it at the time, he wanted to keep the Clarets defender who impressed whilst deputising for the unavailable Clark Carlisle.

Stan though has rubbished the claims that he is on his way back and said at the end of last week, "I can categorically state that Arthur Gnohere will not be joining Queens Park Rangers.

I have no idea where these reports come from, but to my knowledge, there is absolutely nothing in it."

That’s it then, if Stan says he’s not going then clearly he is not.

The London press won’t give up on this one though and yesterday claimed that Holloway will make another effort to sign Arthur this week after he turned down a two and a half year deal just a few days ago.

That has changed, a few days ago they were reporting that only his hamstring injury was holding up a loan move – but as Stan says they have got it all completely wrong and Arthur is staying at Turf Moor.
