Arthur has gone for a month

Arthur, having been slated by reserve team coach Ronnie Jepson after a less than committed effort yesterday, is now on his way to Queens Park Rangers for a month where he will replace Clarke Carlisle who will be out of the running following news that he has drink problems.

QPR are standing by their former Blackpool defender Carlise and need someone to fill the gap short term and have turned to Arthur.

Stan says he hopes he comes back fresh and raring to go after agreeing to the deal and with only one reserve game over the next month he wouldn’t have been getting much football at Burnley.

Having reported earlier in the day of Arthur’s obvious current problems we can only echo Stan's words and hope that it is the Arthur of two years ago who returns to the Turf at the beginning of October.
