Arsenal move closer in weekend of draws

Last updated : 14 December 2009 By Tony Scholes
It was a weekend that saw the top two pick up only one point between them. Chelsea were incredibly booed by the home fans after only getting a draw against Everton, their first dropped points at home all season, and then Manchester United lost at home to Aston Villa who are in fourth place.

That allowed Arsenal to move closer as they came from behind to beat Liverpool at Anfield which left Liverpool suffering a fourth home league and cup defeat this season.

Burnley stay thirteenth with the home draw against Fulham with one of the toughest home games of the season coming up on Wednesday/

The weekend stats are below along with the leading scorers in the Premier League, each club's disciplinary record and the next two sets of fixtures.
