The 19-year-old moved to England in 2005 after he was scouted by Southampton and he spent eight years there in th academy before moving on to Leeds last summer when Mauricio Pochettino opted not to offer him a professional deal.
Described as very, very quick and an exciting player by former Leeds boss Brian McDermott, the youngster from West Virginia made two Championship appearances for the Yorkshire club last season, adding two more appearances during a loan spell at Tranmere.
He was released by Leeds in May and is, Sky Sports Understands, now training with Burnley as he looks to win a deal at Turf Moor.
