It's a second monthly award for Arfield after he'd finished first in August but he was level on points for October with George Boyd and one point ahead of Ben Mee. One of those three was almost certain to win it but Mee was ruled out when he didn't feature in the game.
Arfield had another good game and won the man of the match with 32% of the vote, ahead of goalscorer Danny Ings who picked up a 15.6% share. Third place was won jointly by David Jones and Kieran Trippier who both win 14.8% of the vote.
It was similar in the player ratings although the top two swapped places and the next two were separated. Ings it was who came first with a rating of 6.73 out of 10, ahead of the 6.51 rating for Arfield.
Trippier was just behind with 6.49 and Jones secured fourth place with a rating of 6.07 out of 10. No other player reached six out of ten for an average performance.
The points awarded for this game are eight each for Arfield and Ings, four for Trippier and three for Jones.
Those points secured the monthly award for Arfield who won 18 points from the three games played at Leicester and at home against West Ham and Everton. Boyd remained on ten points with Ings also reaching that total.
Arfield is now a massive 22 points clear in the player of the year table. He's on 53 points with Lukas Jutkiewicz, the September player of the month, second with 31 points.
