And another ex-Clarets moves to Merseyside

Striker Gareth Taylor has put his name to a two year contract at Prenton Park after initially looking certain to sign for Crewe where he played the second half of last season on loan. He'd been offered a one year deal by Dario G and Taylor looked set for an extended stay at Crewe, that was until Moore showed an interest in taking him to Oldham.

That all came to an end when Moore left Boundary Park but he kept his interest in Taylor and this morning our former number nine has penned that deal with Tranmere where he joins up with Mullin.

There are currently four former Tranmere players at Burnley – Graham Branch, Danny Coyne, Alan Mahon and John McGreal – and there has been speculation that Moore would like to add a third ex-Claret to his squad at Tranmere, Taylor's former strike partner at Burnley, Ian Moore.

Ronnie has often said how he would like the opportunity to sign ‘Our Ian' and although he's attracted interest recently from Sheffield Wednesday and Cardiff he currently remains at Leeds where he is not part of the first team plans.

The three of them started just four games together in the same Burnley team, all towards the end of the 2000/01 season, the last of them being the 2-0 defeat at Sheffield United that finally ended our hopes of reaching the play offs.
