Amougou, Carlisle and Easton leave Clarets

Alex MacDonald has been offered a new deal

Taking Carlisle first. He was loaned out to Preston last summer for the season and when things changed at Deepdale he quickly moved to Northampton Town for the rest of the season.

It would have been a massive surprise had he won a new deal and the same goes for the other two. Amougou hasn't been seen since his calamitous performance in the FA Cup whilst Easton's farewell came in a disastrous second half at Watford when he came on as a second half substitute for the injured Michael Duff.

Four players have been offered deals. They are goalkeeper Jon Stewart and forwards Joe Jackson, Shay McCartan and Alex MacDonald whilst the club have also taken up the option of a second year on Chris McCann's current contract that was reported last year as being a two year deal, with a similar situation in Zavon Hine's case.

Joe made his first team debut recently at Blackpool as a substitute whilst McCartan had done so in the 2-1 win at Doncaster over Easter. MacDonald has spent the second half of the season helping Plymouth Argyle retain their place in the Football League and Stewart, the only one with no first team experience, has been with Alfreton.

It had previously been reported that Brian Jensen was considering an offer to remain at Burnley and that remains the case.

Amougou, Carlisle and Easton therefore join Alex-Ray Harvey, Dominic Knowles, Dave Lynch, Joe McKee, Ross Wilson and Neil Yadolahi in leaving Turf Moor.
