Last week saw a major change within the Central Lancs Clarets and Meg Fawcett has taken over as the new Chair and she has plans for supporters in the area the group covers.
"I want fans who live out of the Burnley area to be able to meet up, travel and know that other fans are in their area," Meg told Clarets Mad.
"We have a good but small group in Cumbria who car share to home games and pick up points for away games already. I want to extend that into a monthly meeting where they find out what happens both from the supporters group and Burnley.
"This I would like to extend into other areas such as Blackpool, Southport, Ormskirk and Liverpool. Fans can then share costs and know they are not alone in that area so they can meet fellow fans and know that any Burnley game they want to attend is accessible. It will also help students to meet fellow fans at their universities and colleges and travel at an affordable rate.
"I intend getting this all off the ground before the start of the season, I know we do have fans in these areas. It is just a matter of getting them together."
