Lee came in just before the start of the season after Steve Claridge was dismissed despite never having actually managed them for a game, but today the former Wolves and Walsall boss has been moved upstairs out of the way as Peter de Savary, the latest in the chair, makes his mark.

David Tuttle, previously Lee’s assistant becomes caretaker manager whilst Lee himself takes on this wonderful role of Director of Football whilst also taking a position on the board of directors.

De Savary said, “We now have a long term strategy in place which will enable the football activities of this club to be structured from top to bottom in a way which we firmly believe will enable us to build for success at all levels.”
