Macca recently made the switch to the SPL club on loan until January as part of new manager Eddie May's squad building, and tonight he lined up for the Bairns in their Europa Cup second qualifying round tie first leg against FC Vaduz from Liechtenstein at the Falkirk Stadium.

Their opponents are managed by former Germany World Cup winning winger Pierre Littbarski but it was the Scottish club who won the first leg tie 1-0 with a goal from another loanee, Liverpool's Ryan Flynn.

Alex played virtually the whole game, being substituted in the 89th minute and will now be looking forward to travelling to Vaduz for the second leg a week tonight.
