Ade's goal wins vote

Because of the occasion it was always going to be right up there in the voting but it was a good goal involving both Robbie Blake and Chris Eagles before Ade pounced on the rebound from Carlo Cudicini to hit the ball home right in front of the 6,100 Burnley fans.

It polled 33.4% of the vote and that left it well clear of my particular favourite, Robbie Blake's equaliser at QPR three days later. Robbie collected the ball from Joey Gudjonsson, turned and hit an unstoppable shot into the corner from the edge of the box and won 24.6% of the vote.

Kevin McDonald's first goal for the Clarets was the volley that opened the scoring in the 3-0 home win against Derby and he came in third with 18.6% with no other goal in the vote getting more than 7%.

Ade joins Chris McCann (v Oldham), Joey Gudjonsson (v Preston) and Chris Eagles (v Coventry) who had won the votes for the previous three months.

There were ten goals to choose from but already the December Goal of the Month will have a bigger selection of goals.
