Ade is part of Coyle's plans

It's often the case that there is confusion between these two clubs, that sometimes we are linked with their targets and they are linked with ours, but this time the suggestion is that for the second time in a year they could be set to sign one of our players.

It is not the case, Ade Akinbiyi will not be going to Barnsley. In fact he'll be going nowhere and will be very much part of the first team squad at Burnley. In response to the Barnsley speculation Owen Coyle has said: "There is no truth in that at all. The players we've got left at Burnley, including Ade Akinbiyi, are the ones we want to keep."

Ade has been back with the Clarets for a season and a half since returning from Sheffield United. He signed a two and a half year contract with us on New Year's Day 2006 and has one year remaining on that contract. He'll be spending that year at least as a Burnley player.
