A title and a win at Wembley

The 1990/91 season saw us reach the Fourth Division play offs only to lose to Torquay, but a year later we beat all before us under new manager Jimmy Mullen to lift the last ever championship trophy for that division.

A year of consolidation in the new Division Two was followed by another promotion, this time at Wembley and a 2-1 win against a very unprofessional Stockport outfit who ended the game with nine men as David Eyres and Gary Parkinson scored the goals.

That took us into Division One for the first time since 1983 but unfortunately it was to be a one season wonder as we fell at the first hurdle and were promptly relegated again.

No doubt, five very eventful seasons, and they've now all been captured in our programmes feature. All the league and cup games are there from those seasons including Wembley, the two Derby cup programmes (the abandoned game and the follow up) and of course the one shown here, that wonderful night at York when we went in our thousands to see goals from John Deary and John Francis bring us home as Champions.

Take a look down memory lane at those programmes, and all those from the seasons that followed from 1995/96 onwards. The feature also includes the full set of programmes from the First Division Championship season of 1959/60, the Third Division Championship season of 1981/82 and some significant programmes from 1946/47 including the promotion clincher and the FA Cup Semi-Finals and Final.
