Just over a week to the start of Fantasy Premier League Mad

That kicks off the ninth season of Fantasy Premier League Mad and again there has been a terrific early response to the game on Clarets Mad.

The 2011/12 season brought the record with a prize fund of £640 and last season's £560 wasn't too far behind. Already, for the 2013/14 season, the entries have seen the prize fund reach £230 and that's ahead of where we were with eight days to go a year ago.

It's simple to join and become a football manager for the season. As in the previous seasons we are using the official Premier League game, a game that attracts over two and a half million players each season.

To play the game you just need to register with the game and then select a squad of 15 players with a budget of £100 million. From there you manage your squad throughout the 38 game weeks of the season, making team changes and buying and selling players when you choose.

With your squad set up you then just need to sign up for the Clarets Mad league. We charge £10 per entry (or £10.60 when paying by Paypal to cover their costs). For each entry we will add £5 to the prize fund with the remainder going to the Clarets Mad Youth Foundation.

The prizes will be decided once the total prize fund is known but it is hoped that, as in previous seasons, there will be prizes for the top three at the end of the season as well as manager of the month prizes.

Click HERE for further details and how to join, and once you've joined us you will receive the code and instructions to allow you to join the Clarets Mad League.

The list of entrants are shown on the Eli's Message Board but you do not need to be a member of the message board to play the game and join Fantasy Premier League Mad.
