These lads though are doing it on foot and I can only hope their commitment is better than that of the editor of this site who was scheduled to be at the Turf ahead of the walk to send this site's best wishes.
The walkers were there, this site wasn't, but the lads have had a good first day although Tom's injury problems might just cause a few problems on day 1. At around 6:45 yesterday they had reached Fallowfield and were intending to walk for another 30 minutes before calling it a day.
They've one more full day today and a short walk on Saturday that will end with a walk around the pitch at Stoke City's Britannia Stadium.
Tom has been raising money for the Clarets Mad Youth Foundation whilst the other four lads are raising their money for the Pendleside Hospice.
Let's hope the lads have another good day today, and when they get to the Britannia on Saturday give them the ovation they deserve when they come out onto the pitch ahead of our first Premier League game.
