Football and golf have taken the total up and beyond the seven grand land mark, with virtually £600 having been raised from the hugely successful Clarets Madiham last Saturday, and a further £1,070 from the very special golf auction that came to an end on the message board on Monday.
That auction will see four members of the board, and four keen golfers, having a day to remember at the Ryder Cup course at Wentworth, which includes two rounds along with breakfast and lunch. Our thanks to the four of them and we wish them a superb day at Wentworth.
The campaign continues, we've got Ebay auctions, the Fantasy World Cup Mad Competition and the next event is A Mad Golf Day, to be held at Rishton Golf Cup on 6th August. See the message board for more details of them.
It all means that we can order the smart board system for the club a lot earlier than we thought possible, and we could have some news on that very soon, whilst it now means further discussions will be held with the youth development team as to setting our next target.
