Fantasy Premier League Mad starts in two days

Last updated : 15 August 2013 By Tony Scholes

As it stands we have received 73 entries which has already given us a prize fund of £365 and if the rush is as it has been in previous seasons then we can expect that to climb, certainly beyond £400.

We've never changed our choice of game. We continue to use the official Premier League game which, apart from a hiccup at the start of the 2011/12 season, has served us very well.

It's easy to join.

1. Register your team within the Fantasy Premier League game

2. Register to join the Clarets Mad League

3. Enter the code sent to you on registering with us to become a member of the league.

All the entries are added to the list on the Eli's Message Board but you do not need to be a member of the board to join the game.

Then it's time to consider how best to spend your £100 million. You can make as many changes to your team and squad before Saturday's deadline.

Will you be looking at some of the players at Chelsea given the return of Jose Mourinho? How about Manchester United players under new manager David Moyes, and can you really afford the £14 million for Robin Van Persie?

Will you risk Luis Suarez or Gareth Bale? Will they be selected as their futures continue to be up in the air?

It's all good fun, and you can spend as much or as little time as you wish getting your squad in order, but usually a few minutes per week is more than enough to do some fine tuning and make an occasional transfer.

All we charge is £10 (or £10.60 via Paypal). £5 of that is immediately added to the prize fund with the other half going into the Clarets Mad Youth Foundation. The money raised from the game last year went towards the funding for a new heart monitoring system for the youth department.

All you have to do now is get your entry in to us.
