Fantasy Premier League Mad - 12 days to go

Last updated : 04 August 2014 By Tony Scholes

It means we are 12 days away from the start of Fantasy Premier League Mad which we are running on Clarets Mad for the tenth season with, as in all but one of those years, also raising money for the Clarets Mad Youth Foundation.

I'm sure the game will get a boost from Burnley fans this year with us able to select our own players in the team and that's been reflected in the interest so far. For everyone that joins the prize money is increased by £5 and to date that prize fund has reached £290 which is somewhat higher than it was with a week to go last year when the final prize fund was £530.

It's very simple to join and, as in all the previous years, we are using the official Premier League game, a game that, worldwide, attracts around three million players.

The game is simple to play. Once registered you select of squad of 15 players up to the value of £100 million (Danny Ings is currently our most expensive player at £6 million with the most expensive player in the game currently Robin van Persie at £12.5 million).

You can then manage your squad throughout the 38 game week season, making team changes and buying and selling players when required with one free transfer permitted each week and a couple of weeks where you are able to make as many changes as possible.

Once you've set up your squad you are ready to play and to join the Clarets Mad league we charge an entry fee of £10 (or £10.60 when paying by card/Paypal, to cover their costs) with that £5 per entry increasing the prize fund, and the remainder going to the Clarets Mad Youth Foundation.

The prizes will be determined by the final number of entries but it is expected there will be prizes for the top three teams at the end of the season and manager of the month awards (last season £20) throughout the season.

Once we've received your entry, you will receive the code required to join the Clarets Mad League.

Click HERE for further details and how to join, and all entries are listed in an administrator message on Eli's Message Board although you do not need to be a member of the message board to join Fantasy Premier League Mad.
