Fantastic shirt on offer

It is a 2004/05 season home shirt, but this is no ordinary shirt, it has been signed by a group of former Burnley players whose signatures you are very unlikely to see in one group ever again.

During that season, each and every one of the half time draw guests were asked to sign the shirt, many of these players having come through the youth system at Burnley that we are currently striving to help with our campaign.

The signatures on the shirt include current Head of Youth Development Vince Overson and one of the Centre of Excellence coaches Andy Farrell. One of Vince's former team mates from the early 1980s, and a Burnley fan too, Andy Wharton is on there as is our Sherpa Van Trophy Final goalkeeper Chris Pearce.

From the recent past there's former manager Stan Ternent and Natural Born Claret Andy Payton whilst a look into the past and we find no fewer than six internationals. There's England's World Cup goalkeeper from 1958 Colin McDonald, Ray Pointer and John Connelly from the Championship team of 1960 and to add to the internationals there's Willie Irvine, Ralph Coates and Tony Morley.

Other great names include Frank Casper, Steve Kindon, Andy Lochhead and Brian O'Neil – it really is a special shirt and it is yours if you win our auction which will be running on Ebay until Monday morning.
