The youngsters will be playing in the SC del Sol Presidents' Day Tournament in February and the Clarets Mad Youth Foundation have given them £2,000 to ensure they can play in the event.

The Presidents' Day Tournament is considered one of the most prestigious 'soccer' tournaments in the United States and such is its success that it is now in its 31st year. With record entries set for the 2010 tournament it is set to be the best ever with Burnley one of many teams adding an international flavour to the event.

Our team will be under the charges of Ash Hoskin and Jack Overson, and Ash will accept the cheque on behalf of the youth development department from Clarets Mad Youth Foundation during the half time interval at the home game against Fulham in December.

The next Clarets Mad Youth Foundation fundraising event will be a Race Night at the end of February where you will have the opportunity to sponsor a horse (or even a full race) ahead of the event before placing your bets on the night. Full details will be announced soon.
