West Yorkshire Clarets are set for 2011

Last updated : 13 January 2011 By John Robertson
Last Spring, the group planned a monthly meeting schedule for the remainder of the year and this proved to be a good move, with increased attendance numbers seen at most meetings.

Throughout December, a new schedule has been carefully planned for the first six months of 2011. As usual, the West Yorkshire Clarets make every effort to hold meetings in each of the five boroughs within the metropolitan county, to accommodate regular attendees who travel far and wide on a monthly basis to attend meetings.

As normal, the group will be revisiting some of their favourite venues, including the very popular Leeds Beer Festival in mid March. However, to keep things fresh, the schedule will see the group visit Keighley for just the third time after an absence from the calendar of just over a year. An inaugural trip to Sowerby Bridge in April is something else for the group to really look forward to.

For a full breakdown of the forthcoming meetings, please see the calendar below, or alternatively find on the Clarets Mad Calendar.

January 27th - HUDDERSFIELD
February 24th - KEIGHLEY
March 17th - LEEDS (Pudsey Beer Festival)
April 14th - SOWERBY BRIDGE
May 19th - DEWSBURY (Beer Festival)
June 23rd - SILSDEN

Monthly meetings tend to be generally informal affairs, where the aim is to discuss football with friends, new and old, rather than to work through a structured agenda. If you are residing in the West Yorkshire area and are keen to get involved with the group, don't hesitate to get in touch.

Please contact MARTIN BELL or STEVE HODGE and they will add you to the mailing list. Alternatively, email CLARETS MAD and your message will quickly be passed on.

The West Yorkshire Clarets are really looking forward to 2011; it promises to be another really good year and as always, new faces will be warmly welcomed.
