Time to say thanks

One of those quiet moments on Boundary Clarets - this on the way to the recent game at Gillingham when we bumped into the Beverley Sisters
I made the journey, as I most often do, by coach with Boundary Clarets. They are a quiet group who are often joined by the jet setting couple Rocky and Rockette, most recently back from a trip to Egypt and one or two experiences with a camel.

The couple treated us to a pleasant day yesterday with tales of oversized trainers and pink glasses whilst some passengers saw somewhat more of them than they had expected or bargained for.

I said my thanks yesterday to those from Boundary Clarets who organise the coaches so well but I think it is about time they, and by they I mean all the supporters clubs who organise travel, receive a big thanks from those of us who rely on them to ferry us to away games up and down the country.

Whether it be Boundary, or Colne, the Supporters Club, Accrington, Rossendale, Earby, Central Lancs or whoever, the whole range of transport is expertly organised with pick up points not just in Burnley but from many other towns in the area from Rochdale to Lancaster.

Without them many Burnley supporters would not be able to get to quite as many away games as they do, without them it would mean less fans getting behind the team at these games.

We never realise as we board our coaches just how much time and effort goes into it all – so from all the passengers can I, through Clarets Mad, say a big thanks to all those of you who ensure that we get to see the Clarets up and down the country throughout each season.

And I’m sure we’ll all be looking forward to travelling with you all again next season – pink glasses or no pink glasses.
