London Clarets – Annual General Meeting

Last updated : 09 July 2004 By Tony Scholes

Former London Clarets Chairman Cozzo (inside Barry Kilby's coat) welcomes you to the Sekforde Arms
The meeting gets underway at 1:00 p.m. until 5:30 p,m. with Burnley FC Chief Executive Dave Edmundson and Peter Pike, MP for Burnley and London Clarets Honorary President.

The London Clarets, Burnley's oldest supporters' club, is the club for Burnley supporters living in London and the South of England, and all Clarets in the area who haven't been tempted away by the Accrington Stanley friendly are welcome to attend the AGM.

The AGM is our main summer social event, and as little like a boring committee type meeting as we can make it. It's an opportunity to chew the fat with fellow Clarets and look forward to the coming season. Dave Edmundson will be there to answer your questions on what has been another incident-filled nine months, and our Honorary President, Peter Pike MP, will be on hand to give his views. As well as this, it's your chance to have a say in the running of your local supporters' club.

The beer is good, and we'll even throw in an excellent buffet. Plus there'll be the usual Burnley-related raffle – including a chance to win the signed shirt of our sponsored player, Tony Grant. Bookings will also be taken for travel to early season trips, including home trips to Turf Moor.

The meeting is due to start at one, but come earlier if you want to - there'll be people there all day. New members are particularly welcome, and membership subscriptions can be paid on the day.
