There's not a seat to be had for an event that will be staged for the ninth time tonight and for the fourth time having been fully organised by the supporters clubs, although there have been such evenings in a different format now for over a quarter of a century.

Local supporters groups, such as Colne, Accrington and Rossendale Clarets will be there along with those out of the area including Central Lancs, London and West Yorkshire.

There's never one winner with so many clubs to make awards and that should be the same this year. Last year Wade Elliott and Michael Duff took the most prizes.

Introduced last year for the first time was a new 'Special Achievement Award' and that went to Arthur Bellamy who had just retired after many years service as player, coach, assistant manager and finally as groundsman. Tonight's winner remains a closely guarded secret but all will be revealed at the end of the evening.

Details of all the winners will be on Clarets Mad.
