A special thanks to the Supporters Clubs

Many of us, including myself, board the coaches on away days and sometimes without a thought as to the work that has gone in by members of the respective Supporters Clubs in getting the coaches booked, taking the bookings, arranging tickets and even negotiating the occasional watering hole en route.

Without them there would be a lot less Burnley supporters at away games and they do tend to our ever need, just last Saturday when coach driver John seemed incapable of coping with a cup of coffee, the Boundary Clarets were quick to come to his assistance with a special cup for him, as the picture shows.

It's not just Boundary, there's Burnley Football Supporters' Club who have run at least one coach to every game, and Colne Clarets along with the likes of Rossendale and Accrington. And more recently the West Yorkshire Clarets arranged their first away day to Sheffield Wednesday.

So once again it is time to say thanks to them, no matter which group, for getting us there, often with a laugh or two on the way, and for helping give the Clarets a healthy away support during a difficult away season.

We might not always say thanks as often and as sincerely as we should, but I can assure you all that your efforts are appreciated by all the supporters who board your coaches during the season.

Thanks – and can you book my seat for the first away game next season please?
