Wembley stages the semi-finals

Arsenal had taken over from Leyton Orient after beating them in a fifth round replay but they went the way of so many others by going out immediately after being the nominated Clarets Mad team.

Goals from Fabio and Wayne Rooney gave Manchester United a 2-0 win against the Gunners and, following today's draw, City also went through to take the last semi-final place and a date with their neighbours at Wembley.

So from 759 entries back in August it is down to the last four and in the 12 rounds to date we've managed to be on the losing side on no less than 11 occasions. From Padiham to Staveley Miners Welfare to Parkside to Warrington Town to Stalybridge Celtic to Eastwood Town to Swindon Supermarine to Colchester United to Swansea City to Leyton Orient to Arsenal and now Manchester United and the derby with City.

Which one of the two Manchester Clubs will we take to the final? The Clarets Mad record does suggest it will be City.
