Home side Bamber Bridge looked the better of the two teams in the first half yesterday although there wasn't too much to choose between the teams and they went in at half time with the score still at 0-0.
That changed after the break with Warrington Town taking the game to the home side and after a sustained spell of pressure they took the lead just eight minutes into the half as a Tony Evans shot took a deflection as he hit it through a crowded penalty area.
Warrington remained on top and a second goal would surely have secured their place in the next round. It just wouldn't come and four minutes from time they were left facing what was, in the end, an undeserved replay when Chris Thompson headed home from close range to draw Bamber Bridge level.
With the draw due tomorrow and the replay on Tuesday we'll soon know where the Clarets Mad game will be in the Third Round Qualifying, the first round so far that does not see any new teams enter.
Our game is one of 25 of the 80 ties that need a replay. The biggest winners were Chelmsford City who beat Chertsey 7-0 at their Melbourne Park with Sam Higgins scoring four of their goals. Chelmsford, like Burnley, are known as the Clarets.
