Supermarine are Eastwood's cup opponents

Last updated : 26 October 2010 By Tony Scholes

Their replay tonight at Bath City ended in controversial fashion as the Swindon side scored in the first minute of stoppage time to win it 4-3.

They took an early lead through Nick Stanley on three minutes, but that lead lasted just two minutes when Sido Jombati equalised for favourites Bath. It all then seemed to be going Bath's way when they took the lead on 21 minutes through Adam Connolly and doubled that lead twelve minutes later with a Hector Mackie goal.

But back came Supermarine. Matt Robinson pulled one back four minutes before half time and in first half stoppage time Leigh Henry brought them level at 3-3.

That's how it stayed until stoppage time at the end of the game and with extra time looming. Supermarine won a corner and Kyle Lapham rose unchallenged at the far post to meet Chris Taylor's flag kick.

It deflected off a defender and onto the crossbar and seemingly back into play. The assistant referee wasn't too concerned but the referee awarded the goal leaving the home side furious.

There was no time to come back and so on the Clarets Mad Road to Wembley our First Round tie is Swindon Supermarine v Eastwood Town. The game will be played at Supermarine's Webb's Wood Stadium.
