You never know what's round the corner

Millen saw his side lose out at Norwich last Monday in front of the Sky cameras with two late goals from Henri Lansbury and Andrew Surman, and wants his team to put that behind them.

"It's important we get a good result because we don't want to have another poor one on our minds for two weeks," he said today.

"I'm sure Burnley will come to make a game of it. It's getting to the stage now where teams battling for promotion need three points rather than one. Whilst I wouldn't say they will be gung-ho, it should be two teams looking to attack, and hopefully that will lead to a good game.

"We need to look at the last nine games as cup finals really and win as many as possible."

Eddie Howe remains positive of Burnley's chances despite the two home results in the last week. "It's still all to play for, it really is," he admitted. "It's teed up lovely. There are some fantastic games, some difficult games, but what an end of the season to look forward to.

"It's going to take a lot of hard work and you never know what's round the corner and what's going to happen, but we are going to give it everything and try and force our way into that top six."

Burnley haven't been in the play off positions since the win over Derby County in November and Howe has been trying to get us back in there since taking over as manager in January. He added: "I would rather be up front, leading from the front with the points in the bag. Anyone who says anything else is a bit of a liar.

"But this is where we are and let's try and use it to our advantage and try and get everyone together fighting for the same purpose, which is trying to get into the top six.

"They [Bristol City] have been on a decent run. They lost to Norwich recently but previous to that they put together some good results and they have a decent squad.

"But our away form has been really good in recent times so we can go there with confidence. We have won at some tough places, let's try and win there.

"Our away performances have been very good so it's just a case of trying to get another result and then go into the international break in high spirits."
