Martinez saw his side beat Villa 3-0 last Saturday to move up to 13th in the table and then draw 0-0 in Lille in the Europa League on Thursday, but he's warned of a tough game at Turf Moor.
He said: "When you're in October and you're looking at your opposition and where they are in the table, I don't think you pay much attention to that.
"Burnley have had a few injuries which I think may have affected their goalscoring record so far but apart from that, if you analyse them this season, in every aspect of their performance they've been really dynamic and really strong, particularly defensively.
"It's only lately that they've been conceding a few goals and I do believe they still carry a winning mentality from achieving promotion last season. They've been unfortunate with some of their results but they're going to be growing into a stronger side and they'll be a danger to anyone.
"They know exactly what they are and they're very, very good at what they do and I think they're developing a real understanding of what's needed in this league.
"If they maintain the levels they've been showing, they're going to start picking up more points very, very soon, and that's why we need to be perfect on Sunday and match them in every aspect."
Despite the win column still showing zero, Dyche remains positive. “It’s not being positive for positive's sake," he said.
"We didn’t perform well at West Brom and they did, simple as that, but when you play teams like West Ham and you play as well as we did for certainly the first half and the last fifteen minutes, you can’t just overlook that. There’s got to be positives within and I thought there were.
“I thought we were absolutely excellent for a lot of the first half. We created lots of chances, we had the feel, energy and flow of the game and good quality of play, so we have to build on that.
“Equally, we can’t be naïve enough to think that if you give people a window of opportunity to get back in the game at this level, they won’t take it. They’re not guaranteed to do so, but they’ve got a chance to take it because of their higher level of players than in the Championship, for example.
“I think that was the biggest thing about last week against West Ham. We are arguably in the highest ladder in world football, so you have to take chances when you’re on top. but we move forward. There’s no blind faith here and everyone knows the realities.
“The challenge is a massive one for us to perform and win games in the Premier League on a regular basis. It’s a challenge we all absolutely want, we’re loving and enjoying it, but not as much as when we’re winning, because when you’re winning, that’s when you’re really loving it.”
Much has been said of teams playing in Europe in midweek being affected at the weekend but he added: “I don’t think you over think it. They’re in Europe which is fantastic for them. Of course, when you play on a Sunday, you would prefer not to have played on a Thursday.
“Aside from that, though, the way these clubs travel, I think someone said they were back in bed at twelve o’clock. We don’t normally get that when travelling by bus from most away games.
“I certainly don’t over think that. I think they will be prepared as we always are physically and tactically, and we will be ready to do that again.”
