We build on the positives again

Mark Robins saw his Huddersfield side win at Sheffield Wednesday last time out in a televised game and recalled that last season they took all six points from us, with Robins in charge for the Turf Moor game.

"It was in different circumstances, but the same three points are on offer this Saturday," he said. "It is a fantastic opportunity for us to beat one of the top teams and put a marker down.

"They are miserly in defence and have got threats in Sam Vokes and Danny Ings. Kieran Trippier and Jason Shackell are both good players and I know them well having signed them when I was at Barnsley.

"Scotty Arfield will also be back and I am sure that he will want to do well. I am pleased for Scott because he is a good lad who didn't get too much of an opportunity during my short spell last season with him. He is a good professional and I just hope that he has an off day tomorrow."

In their last home game they were beaten 3-1 by Birmingham and Robins added: "The Birmingham performance was very poor and we don't ever want to see a repeat of that. What we have done since then has been good though. We are capable of being really good, but sometimes bad and it is important now that we start performing consistently well.

"We are better than we were last season and most of the time are good to watch. I want to set the bar as high as possible. I am a firm believe that if you put in the work, good performances and results will follow. We are mid-table at the moment and I think that is fair on reflection."

Sean Dyche takes the Clarets to Huddersfield with a good away record this season. He said: "A lot has been made of the Championship and particularly away from home and our away form's good but they (Huddersfield) are another group of players who want to be motivated, they want to do well.

"I know some of their staff, good people working hard so we have to respect the opposition but at the same time when the whistle blows the respect goes out of the window and we've done well with that this season. We've made sure that we focus on what we're doing and what we're looking to achieve so it is no different going into Saturday."

The game not only sees Arfield return to play against his former club but also provides Martin Paterson with his first chance to play against Burnley since leaving in the summer.

"Pato was a good servant here," added Dyche. "Unfortunately he had a few injuries but overall he's well thought of here and rightly so. He worked hard for us last year and popped up with some important goals. Scott's come in and done very well early season and scored some goals.

"They will be looking forward to the game for different reasons but beyond that we're looking forward to our team's performance, a great fan base going with us which is fantastic. I always respect that. I respect home fans but away it does cost money, the travelling etcetera and we've delivered in numbers many times away from home so it's fantastic to take so many over there on Saturday so it makes for a good occasion."

Burnley's run of seven wins has now been followed by three consecutive draws in the Championship and it was put to Dyche that some considered that the wheels had fallen off.

He said: "There has to be a feeling about something. Some people have actually been wanting the wheels to fall off so that they can say 'I told you'. It's just the madness of it but we look beyond that. We look at the facts and we've pretty much been happy with the performances.

"In the away game at Millwall we were sloppy for the first half an hour but beyond that we delivered a very good performance.

"At home against Bournemouth I thought we were particularly dominant. A passing side like Bournemouth come and have 70 passes in a half. Trust me that is very low which shows our dominance in that game.

"On to Forest. They are a good side. They really raised their game on the day in order to deliver a performance and yet the outcome that we came away with a point, a hard earned point, is another good sign.

"Draws are what they are, but they are certainly better than losses, and we haven't had too many of them, so we build on the positives again and we look forward to Saturday."
