We are building some good things here

Instead the pre-match comments have come from 21-year-old winger Jamie Paterson who, while having been used mainly as a substitute in the league, has played both of their cup games this season.

Paterson, who was signed from Walsall in the summer, said: "Playing in the cup is just the same as any other game. I love playing games of football so I'm looking forward to it and hopefully it shows what I can do.

"I feel really settled at the club now, there are a good set of lads here. All I'm doing at the moment is just concentrating on my game and trying to get into the starting eleven."

He added: "It is going to be a tough game. Burnley are right up there in the league and they aren't there without good reason. Every cup game against Championship opposition is difficult and, as it was against Millwall, we're expecting another hard game."

Dyche, ahead of tonight's game, commented on the fact that, Brighton apart, we've taken a 1-0 lead in every game this season. "We spoke about many things during the summer and one of them is to start the game in the right manner," he said.

"You can't guarantee you score, but just starting in a positive manner on the front foot can allow you to take a stronghold of the game."

Forest made wholesale changes in the last round, something we aren't able to do. Dyche added: "Forest have a big squad. They changed virtually the whole side last time, but it was still a side that you knew would compete.

"So we have to be aware of that, but we are building some good things here and the players on the periphery have been read. We have a real thirst about the squad so whatever side we get out there I am sure they will be ready to go.

"The way the lads have been performing, they look forward to every game and another win at Leeds sets us up nicely for tonight and Forest."
