The players have been relentless

Karanka is looking forward to the game too as he brings his team to Burnley in some good form and he's looking to pit his wits against the team second in the table.

"It's great for us to be playing against a team who can be promoted this weekend but we're not going there to celebrate their promotion, we're going there to win the game," he said.

"Every team can learn from Burnley," he added. "The coach has made a very good team and the best thing for a coach is that the people can see the coach's work on the pitch.

"I don't want to say Burnley don't have good players, because they do, but I think they are the best in the league as a team.

"We want to win the game because we beat them here (at the Riverside), we beat Derby and we've beaten a lot of teams at the top of the table. We had an accident against QPR but I'm very happy with my team and we go there knowing we're capable of winning the game.

"The game on Boxing Day was one of the best performances since I came here. The most important thing is the team has improved since that day and the important thing is to be better every day than the day before.

"The best way to prepare for next season is to win the games at the end of this season, so I was concerned when we lost against QPR because we had a lot of games in front of us but my team have played well in the last three games and I'm very, very happy."

Sean Dyche brings his team back home after another four points on the road took Burnley to a season record haul of 38 points in away games, and he'll be looking for us to get back to winning ways at Turf Moor following the first home defeat of the season against Leicester.

The manager started the season with his one game at a time mantra and that's not changed despite the fact that we now sit eleven points clear of third place Derby with only five games remaining.

Today he spoke in glowing terms about his players. "The players have been relentless in their nature," he said. "They work very hard on the training ground on a daily basis, and I always say if you do that properly, when that whistle blows you are ready to perform.

"Equally, it doesn't guaranteed us anything. It just means we'll be in good shape to perform again, particularly on the back of another good result at Barnsley."

It was a tough game against a team fighting for their lives at the bottom of the table but Dyche admitted: "I think all the games have been huge this season. I don't over think each one as it comes, I just look at the next challenge and that's Middlesbrough.

"They're a good side that has probably under achieved, looking at their squad on paper. Football's not won on paper, of course, but I think they've got a real good squad and the manager has got his points across slowly but surely. Their recent form has been very good and we can't underestimate that.

"I think it's fair to say that over the season we've been very clear minded in not underestimating anyone. We think that the players get all the information they need in order to deliver a performance, and that's what we'll be looking to do again."
