The Championship presents a difficult obstacle every week

Coyle has been delighted with his side's recent performances but believes they are capable of doing even better than in recent weeks as he looks to push us into the top six of the table and the end of season play offs.

"Since the Arsenal game the levels of performance have been terrific, but I know there is room for improvement," he said. "We know that collectively though. I am not just talking about the players, because we all have a part to play within the playing and coaching staff. We know we can grow and get better."

Not for the first time this season we take on the bottom of the league at home, but the manager is under no illusions as to how difficult this game could be. "I actually think this could be our toughest game of the season. Colchester are fighting for their lives and they won't want to give up their Championship status.

"I actually think they are a better team than their current league table suggests and so we are going to have to be at our best to beat them. We will give them every respect because the Championship presents a difficult obstacle every week and we know the perils of underestimating the teams at the bottom.

"The margins between winning and losing are very fine, but we are handily placed just two points from the play offs and we will go and try to win another important game and push ourselves into the frame."
