Let's go and deliver on Saturday

He spoke ahead of the game with Brighton having won at Cardiff on Tuesday and confirmed there will be no relaxing after such a good result. He said: "The manager is very focused and will never let up, and that rubs off on the whole squad, so there is no chance that we will be taking our foot off the gas.

"When we get on the bus after a game a few of us will relax by watching TV or watching a movie but Gus will just get his laptop out and then start planning for Burnley, or whoever the next game is.

"We might have beaten the league leaders but every game is difficult in this league and if you relax for one game you will get punished. We have a few home games coming up and they are opportunities for us to get another win.

"There's never been a game where we've got out to try and nick a point or to see if we can shut up shop. We go into every game looking for three points and Saturday will be no different."

Sean Dyche will be looking to get Burnley back to winning ways after four games without a victory, but knows how difficult the game will be. "Brighton are a good side and they've had some good results," he said. "They are a good home side with a big stadium and usually full, but they are the occasions we want.

"We are hungry for games. I want the team to be hungry for games and have that freedom to go and play and what better place than when you are away and the expectation is on the home side, but we have our own expectation which is to deliver performances in order to win."

Last time Burnley played at Brighton the game was turned on its head with two home players sent off in the opening minutes. Dyche said: "I've heard recently, and had a few details about it but we are hoping for just a football match and one where we come out winners of course.

"It's important we go there in a positive mood and I think we are. We think we've been slightly unlucky with a couple of the results recently that have gone against us and we know that will pay us back. It will rub off on us at some point.

"I want us to go there, shoulders back, chest out, Burnley Football Club arriving at one of the sort of fancied teams and to go and give a performance. I want that freedom for the team to go and do that and they have done it well away from home, particularly at the turn of the year, so long may that continue and let's go and deliver on Saturday.

"We are still in there in a good position. We are going to have to go hard to be fair to get right in there but it's a challenge that's right in front of us."
