It's the biggest game of the season

Now the longest serving manager in the Championship, Boothroyd said: "It will almost be three years since I started the hob here and that was my first game at Burnley, so it will bring back some memories.

"I think Owen Coyle has done a great job there, they managed to beat us earlier in the season and then went on and took three points off Charlton as well. Owen has added to what Steve Cotterill's done before and we're a big, big game for them on Saturday because they'll want back to back home wins. But we've got to make sure that we take points away from Turf Moor.

"We've got 12 games to go and this is the run-in now, we have to remain calm and positive throughout. Our away fans have been absolutely great all year and our home fans have got something to shout about again and they've been good. They are going to be key for us.

"Away from home we're very dangerous on counter attacks. At home the onus is on the team to go and win, we've got speedy players and therefore we can get beyond our opposition very, very quickly. We've got the set piece ability as well."

Clarets boss Owen Coyle believes this is Burnley's biggest game of the season and is looking for his side to make it two wins in four days at home. "We've got good players and we can win games, and we have shown that against the very best in the Championship. So nothing will deter us from trying to do that on a game to game basis.

"If we hadn't won against Coventry the other night, then I think we were playing serious catch up. As it is we're two points off fifth and if you look at our next five games we play teams within the top eight, so it is all very much in our hands and they are all huge games."

Watford was where Burnley won their first game under Owen Coyle's management, just as it had been for his predecessor Steve Cotterill. "Watford were flying at the top of the league and nobody outside the football club felt we'd any chance of achieving a positive result, but aside from the result I thought the performance that night was right in everything we showed.

"At times we had to defend and put our bodies on the line, but we showed that night we can do it and I think we've taken our game on from there. We're buoyed by that and we're going out to get three points at home.

"It is the biggest game of the season, there is no doubt about that, and that will continue all the way now because such is the nature of this game they are all six pointers. If we can go and win it that can cement us in amongst the top group and that's got to be our motivation."
