It's a bit of a head scratcher

With both teams in the bottom three at kick off, it was QPR who climbed out with this win and Redknapp said: "It was a massive game for us again today, and a massive win.

"We had must win games against Villa and Leicester recently which we won and we got the victory again today, so we're delighted."

He added: "They're a good side and made us work very hard for the three points. They were well organised and probably just about edged it in the first half. Rob Green made a couple of great saves, the one from Boyd was incredible, I was right behind it and it looked in all the way.

"But we had chances as well and I was still confident at half time. We started on the front foot and really took it to them. From the first whistle of the second half we were very positive and the goal was deserved when it arrived.

"Leroy is playing well from the left. He's a quality player and he's got goals in him. It was a really well worked goal and gave us a huge lift. Charlie's strike was typical of the season he's having; he's got a knack of being in the right place at the right time."

Asked about the red card for Austin, Redknapp said: "I've no complaints with the red card. Charlie was just tracking his man, defending for his life, and he went for a ball that probably wasn't there. It was probably a booking, and a second red."

Dyche said after the defeat: "It was a game of missed chances, that's the top and bottom of it. I thought the performance was good and I was reasonably happy with that. We created chances, particularly in the first half and early in the second and Rob Green has pulled out one of the saves of the season.

"We were right behind it and Boydy hit an absolute worldy that's going right in the top corner before he gets a fingertip to it. Scott then had one that hit him in the face, but fair play again to the keeper.

"But those chances are massive in the Premier League and it's hard to come back from conceding goals. The first one is an unlucky deflection off Ben Mee. It's a terrific tackle and weirdly I think if he doesn't, Tom saves it.

"We're disappointed with the second one, and overall it's a bit of a head scratcher because generally I was happy with the performance."

"I always try to be honest and I genuinely thought that was a reasonable performance. In fact I thought it was better than reasonable. I felt there were more good points than in other performances, so it's tough to take.

"That's one loss in five now and that's a big marker in the Premier League."
