It was a fantastic strike from the young man

“It was a bad goal for us to concede. We should have shown the lad the line but he probably won't hit another one like that for the rest of the season. So that left us behind when we didn't deserve to be, but the lads showed great character to come back and get a point out of it at the end. It stops the rot after two defeats this week, and now we go to Cardiff with something to build on.”
Magilton had no doubts at all over the validity of the penalty decision. “The lad handled it and that's a penalty. End of story.”
Steve Cotterill had something of a different view on things. “Maybe this was the game that got away, but we can't begrudge Ipswich a late goal with what's happened to them lately. We just didn't want it to be against us and we are slightly disappointed with how the goal came about.
“We don't think it was a corner in the first place and we are disappointed that a push wasn't given. I don't think Gifton has intentionally handled it and he has told me he was pushed. But we could easily have come here, not played well and ended up with nothing, so we will take our point home and look forward to next week.”
On the game overall he added: “In the first half we should have gone in goals to the good and when they don't go in when you are playing well it is a bit disappointing. Ipswich is a tough place to come and both sets of players tried to put on the best game on a difficult pitch.”
He was pleased with the performance of Kyle Lafferty, in for the injured Andy Gray. “I'm delighted for Kyle. He has waited a while and it was a fantastic strike from the young man, and with his bad foot.
“We must make sure we nurse him through this period. He is definitely not Andy Gray's replacement because he is a different player. We mustn't judge him as that, but his strike was excellent and his partnership with Gifton Noel-Williams was a good part of our play, along with the central midfielders.”
