I want Barnsley and every team to see Burnley at their best

Flitcroft was number two to Keith Hill when we visited Oakwell back in November in the Championship and when we pitched up there again in January in the FA Cup he was in caretaker charge.

He all but admitted that day that he would be on his way out in the following week but when approaches for other managers failed, coupled with Flitcroft getting some victories under his belt, he was given the job on a permanent basis.

Ahead of tonight's game he's said: "We had a great day yesterday recovering and look at Burnley. We got the group together and got them re-focussed.

"There's a real good feel factor on the training ground which we'll take into Burnley. I said to everyone the real test of this adventure is when we get beat. We've been beaten twice but there's 36 points to play for."

He added: "Burnley are a team that when Sean first went in did incredibly well. Charlie Austin's goals was a massive feature of what they did and how they did it. Sean's won a lot of games but over the last six or seven their form's tailed off a little bit.

"That might be something to do with a lot of other teams being under pressure to win games. Maybe Burnley have not lost their form but maybe teams they've played have upped theirs.

"The team's looking forward to it. We can't wait to get the momentum we had on Saturday into Tuesday, we're all really excited for it. But this squad I've got is doing everything. I have to make sure we give the players all the support we can give them. We're working hard to keep them as strong as possible."

After finally ending the disappointing run at Charlton, Dyche is now wanting to get back to some sort of form at Turf Moor.

Looking back to Saturday, he said yesterday: "It does bring some belief back and what it does is make players feel more relaxed again.

"They know they have qualities that can win matches and it's been on show for the majority of times we've been here, but there have been times when it hasn't been and that's just part of being a team that's developing.

"We've got one out of the way so we go onto number two tomorrow night. I don't jump beyond the next game. There is no point because this is an unforgiving league."

He added: "I want Barnsley and every team to see Burnley at their best. We remind ourselves every game is a tricky game. You can't take anything for granted and we certainly don't, but we believe in what we do, we believe in the players we have here and we believe in the club. As a group we can take it forward."
