I think the lads have learned from last season

Dickov has seen his side pick up four points from the last two games and said ahead of tonight's game: "It's looking good tonight with only a few aches and pains after Saturday. We have good players unable to get in yet, but as Paul (Quinn) has shown you will get your chance if you train hard and have the right attitude.

"It will be good tonight if Theo (Robinson) can get on the scoresheet again as all strikers need to keep scoring, but one thing Theo does is work extremely hard. We want players who, if it's not going well, work hard for the side. It's a team effort."

Looking towards the game, he added: "Burnley are on a great run at the moment which is all credit to Sean. he has built a good all round side who are dangerous attacking and hard to break down.

"With a win for us on Saturday, the pressure is a little bit off so we can go out in front of a good crowd and have a go at a team which is sat second in the league. Sean has got a hard working group who work together as a unit, which is what I am trying to achieve here.

"They work well off the ball as well as when they have it but play great football, so I am expecting a good game tonight. Up front they have Sam Vokes and Danny Ings hitting the net but it's the whole team behind them that is making the side tick."

Sean Dyche has insisted that his players will keep their feet firmly on the ground. "We are showing really good signs, but you don't over think your league position and you guard against complacency by the nature of the division.

"Most of our players know this division and understand that it's topsy turvy. Top can beat bottom, middle can beat whoever and I think personally it's the most challenging division in that. Anyone can beat anyone at any given time and you have to prepare for every single game."

He continued: "I think the lads have learned from last season and the newcomers have added to the feel of being competitive in order to produce, which in turn brings performances that can help you win.

"The standard at this level is ever increasing and Doncaster will present us with a threat, but we hope to provide our own. I don't think we go into any game taking things for granted. I certainly don't and tonight is no different.

"Forget about positions and forget about form. The facts are if you are ready to compete, you have an increased chance of getting what you want, and that's a win.

"We are a in a group of unknowns, with some wondering which way it would go, but we have a good feeling about ourselves. We are enjoying the experience and learning and improving as we go, but we are now in the mix with the big boys, so it is a good challenge for us at the moment and I've become acutely aware how important the people are to this club.

"It's an important time for the fans to bond with the club. It wasn't broken but perhaps stretched and I now thin there is a reality about the club and people are getting back to saying 'We are Burnley and we compete and stand up for what we are'.

"There seems to be that balance again and people understand the challenges that are put our way. We are willing to pull together and go beyond those challenges and that is, so far, what we are doing."
