I believe in the way we work

I'm delighted with the news that Pearson will be here after the news a week ago of him feeling unwell in Blackburn and having to go to hospital. I suppose he's not the first to have felt unwell in that particular town over the years and recovered once out of the place.

He will be in the away technical area tomorrow and ahead of the game he suggested it would be a tough game for his team at Turf Moor. "They have made it (Turf Moor) a very difficult place to go, clearly," he said.

"I have heard Sean talk a lot about how other people see his team and that being hard working. They are that, but they also have some very good players as well.

"What you have to give them an awful lot of credit for this season is the way they have gone about playing throughout the entirety of it. I think they've been very consistent and very good from the start and for us to go there now, we're going to have to work very hard to remain at the top, but we intend to do that."

Pearson added: "What we've got to do is make sure our performance is at a high standard, as it has been for the majority of the season. I think that's been really the key to success for both sides and I don't see any reason to change it now.

"We've got plenty of points to play for and it's about keeping our focus and not getting too carried away with what other people are saying. We've got a tough run of games coming up, but we have every opportunity.

"The other night (v Yeovil) we showed an awful lot of resilience to get something out of the game. It  was good to get a point in the end. They showed spirit, but we had to be a little bit more clinical in front of goal and I've got every belief in my players that they can do that."

Dyche, who I have to say looked very relaxed last night at the question and answer night at Turf Moor, has praised the physical side of his team today.

He said: "I told the players in pre-season you'll be in great shape all season, make no mistake about it. Our stats were through the roof again physically on Tuesday.

"The players look fitter and sharper and that is only improving as we go on. I believe in the way we work and that's not just me but my support staff too. I believe in the way we treat the players and I believe in their mentality. That has helped us to play well as a unit, as individuals and to win games.

"It's time for us to keep going strong, we've certainly shown great signs of that. That's our thoughts really. We keep going strong no matter what challenges come our way."

Looking forward to the big clash, he added: "It's a big game, but in reality it's just another three points and that is exactly what we are aiming for. Football owes you nothing.

"We're in a nice, rich vein of form at the moment and are putting points on the table with good performances. Now we have to go and do that again, anything beyond that takes care of itself.

"We've had many big games this season and Leicester are going along nicely, as we are, so it makes for a good occasion.

"They have got some tough games coming up, starting with us, but we know what shape we're in and we won't go far from remembering what we're about and the strong work ethic we have.

"We have our own designs on what we can achieve and the main thing is to stick with our one game at a time mantra. As each game comes round you have to be ready physically, mentally, tactically and ready to show your steel."

Burnley could go into this game without Kieran Trippier and Danny Ings through injury and the suspended Dean Marney.

On that subject, the manager said: "We think our injuries are going to be back sooner rather than later. Tripps is touch and go. I don't think it would be wise to use him for this one but we will see. He's training and building up again at the moment.

"After Leicester we have got a week's rest, or midweek break if you like, with no game next Tuesday and it is important we use that time wisely.

Danny Ings is also making really good progress. We're really happy with that at the moment."
