David Nugent has certainly not done himself any harm

Moyes has seen his team struggle for home points this season and has said ahead of the game: "At home we have struggled a little bit recently. We have not turned draws into victories, so we have to start doing that.

"In some of the games, Birmingham last week as well, we have dominated the majority of it, but gave them one chance and they scored. It looks like we are going to have to score more than one goal at this present time to win, and that's what our problem has been, we have not been doing that.

"It was a reward for how the players have played in the last week or two. We have played much better and looked more like ourselves, and in Marouane Fellaini we have probably got the best midfield player in the country at the moment.

"He is outstanding the way he is playing. He was exceptional again on Saturday and his goal was deserved for the way he played."

Burnley have trained today ahead of the game with Owen Coyle paying particular attention to his two central defenders Clarke Carlisle and Steven Caldwell who both missed out yesterday. But he admits that it is striker David Nugent who has left him thinking after he came back into the side to grab the equaliser against Bolton.

Of Evertonian Nugent, Coyle said: "David is a great lad and I know he would love to be out there in front of the Everton supporters. That is something we will have to look at tomorrow because the games come very quickly, but he has certainly not done himself any harm."

Speaking about the two defenders he commented: "We were in training today ahead of the game and assessing both lads. You have to remember they have been out for a week now without training, but they certainly felt better today and we'll have a look tomorrow."

Coyle finally had a word for Everton boss David Moyes, who he will pit his wits against for the second time this season. "David is in the top bracket of managers worldwide, there is no doubt about that," said the Clarets' boss.

"He is someone I have a lot of time for and the thing I love about him is how hard he has worked. I remember being at Bolton when he was at Preston and he used to come over for reserve games and the like and you knew then how focused he was on the coaching side.

"He has really taken to it and you only need to look at his record to see the quality he's got. He's taken Everton on year after year and for any young manager he is the perfect role model to aspire to."
