Youth team to go for overall record tomorrow

Wes Fletcher - this season's leading scorer
Three seasons ago the young Clarets won their first nine league games but were held to a draw against Carlisle in the tenth, this season we've won all of our first ten league games.

The one remaining record now is the run of league and cup games. Three years ago we won two cup ties during the winning start giving us eleven successive wins and with the win over Rotherham in this season's Youth Alliance Cup added we have equalled that.

Tomorrow we travel to Squires Gate to play Blackpool and should that end in a victory it will ensure that this current team holds the overall record for wins. And just as three years ago, when Marc Pugh had hit fifteen goals in that run, we are scoring goals aplenty with no fewer than 44 goals scored in those eleven games. This season Wes Fletcher leads the way with fourteen goals.

If you are in the Blackpool area tomorrow morning then why not go along and watch the young Clarets. The game takes place at Blackpool's Squires Gate training ground which is on Martin Lane on the west side of the airport. Kick off is at 11:00 a.m.

Good luck lads.
