Youth team to face Rochdale tomorrow

We were beaten 3-1 in the away game against them back in September with Khius Metz (pictured above) scoring our goal and our run of defeats stretches back through the two previous seasons.

So it is back to 2011/12 for the last win against them and that season we did the double. Adam Evans and Lewis Nuttall scored the goals in a 2-1 away win and we won the home game 4-0 with goals from James Taylor, Shay McCartan (2) and Cameron Howieson.

Rochdale have now moved up to third place in the table and are a real threat to the top two. They are now four points behind leaders Bury with two games in hand and just two points behind Wigan with one game in hand.

This could be our last home game at Carrington. The facility has been leased by Bury for the next five years from this Sunday and the venue for our home game against Walsall next Tuesday is still to be confirmed.
