Shay McCartan - scored the first goal
It was Burnley who drew first blood with just seven minutes on the clock when Mehdi Lazaar played in Shay McCartan who made no mistake.

The young Clarets had made a good start but the home side, who are currently in second place in the table, were level within three minutes as the ball came back off the post and the home player was first on to it.

It remained at 1-1 until ten minutes before half time. Then, Dean Overson was adjudged to have fouled in the penalty box and Blackpool went in front from the resulting penalty.

Before half time, however, the referee was again pointing to the spot and this time at the other end as McCartan was brought down. Joe McKee, returning from injury, scored from the spot.

It was 2-2 at half time. We dominated the second half but we just couldn't get a winner and the score remained at 2-2 at the final whistle although Joe Jackson came close with a header.

The game provided McKee with over an hour on his return from injury and there was more positive news as Adam Evans also made a return via the subs bench.

The Burnley team was: Josh Cook, Curtis Woods, Dean Overson, Neil Yadolahi, Steve Edwards, Shay McCartan (Adam Evans), Joe McKee (Steven Hewitt), Dave Lynch, Mehdi Lazaar, Ross Wilson, Joe Jackson. Subs not used: Callum Jakovlevs, Ed Williams, Archie Love.
