Youth team in big win

Unfortunately Clarets Mad were unable to be at the game. Although we were received
information of this game over a week ago it wasn’t until yesterday afternoon that the club were able to confirm to us that it was going ahead and disappointingly that left us unable to get to the game.

We do though, since our last youth update, also have to report a defeat at the hands of Bury when were beaten 2-0 at their Lower Gigg training ground.

The new youth coach at Bury was delighted with his team’s peformance and said that it could have been six or seven against the Burnley youngsters. This new coach is a name familiar to both Burnley and Bury fans – Casper.

Having retired from playing and having coached Team Bath during their FA Cup run last season Chris Casper has now taken on the youth coaching role at Bury at the age of 28.

We would like to wish Chris all the best but has your dad not told you that you are not supposed to beat Burnley?

The youth team will next be in action at Padiham next Monday evening before their big kick off on 9th August at Gawthorpe.
