But with Preston winning yet again, this time at Macclesfield, and Wigan picking up all three points on Friday against bottom of the table Carlisle, it is still very much all to play for.
We've home games remaining against Stockport and Morecambe but face trips to Preston, a week tomorrow, and Wrexham. The Preston game is a real crunch one for us. Should we lose that we throw the whole league open and it could, with their game in hand, see North End go above us.
The week started with Accrington securing a shock 6-1 win against Wrexham and there were plenty of goals scored in the midweek games. Macclesfield hit four on Wednesday against Stockport as did Wigan against bottom club Carlisle on Friday.
Besides the results affecting the top of the league on Saturday there were also wins for Shrewsbury, Stockport, Walsall and Wrexham.
There are no midweek games this week but a full fixture list on Saturday when the Clarets are back at Gawthorpe with the game against Stockport.
The latest results, this weekend's fixtures and the Burnley goalscorers are all shown below along with links to the fixtures, results and league tables for both youth and reserve teams.
